Warm Weather......YAY!!!!

SO, I think Spring has FINALLY sprung! I hope so anyway! We have had consecutives days of warm beautiful spring weather!!!! And with warm weather, comes crazy work schedule and I'll take it! I'd much rather be so busy I don't know what to do or which way I'm coming or going than to be sitting at work with nothing to do! I think the abnormal amount of snow we got with the FREEZING temperatures.....has made everyone long for Summer and wanting it NOW! We had a record breaking sales month for March and I hope it's only a sign of what's to come!

On another note, our boat we ordered for ourselves came in last week!!!!!! YAY!!!! I can't wait to get it on the water! The guys at work keep telling me to get off of it cause I'll have it sold before I ever get to use it! They are propbably right! BUT, until it is sold.......It's mine and I can't wait to "fix it up" the way I want it! By, the way, I already LOVE IT! After we get it rigged and the way we want it, I'll post some pics :)

I hope everyone has a FABULOUS Easter weekend! I know we will even though Sunday is our only day off! Cara is very excited and can't wait to go find eggs!

Hey everyone! It's been a little bit of a challenging week this week with work. Which either lead me to remember a few things or forced me to remember a few things! Anyway, if I ever get down, which isn't often, I try to do or think of things to bring me back up! Plus there is always someone who is worse off than me! So I started thinking about a few things that have been said to me or Teddy just since this first of the year! So hear goes!

What a wonderful weekend!

So, having been freezing my hiny off for the last month and a half.........we FINALLY got some good, warm weather, that just happen to fall on the weekend! We have really needed a good couple of days of sunshine and warmth! It's amazing how a little sunshine and being outside can recharge your soul! We were ready to hit the ground running today! It started getting a little warm Friday which led to us being busy at the dealership and selling a boat! YAY! Plus we had some GREAT prospects that I think will come back soon! This lead into a nice relaxing evening....which was needed. Seems like we'd had a lot going on since the first of the year!

Then came Saturday! WOW! Beautiful day and we are obviously not the only ones thinking about boating and being on the water! Teddy, Myself, and Joe(our new guy) were all with customers the ENTIRE time we were open! It was nice to be back outside in warm weather showing boats! Then we headed home for a quick break before we were to go meet with my family for some bday celebrations. It's so hard to get everone together...we did 4 in one shot! My dad was gone the whole month of January, then there was the boat show, etc. So we celebrated, dad's birthday(Jan7th), mine(Feb.4th), Angie, who is now 40 (Feb14th), and Christie's (March 16th). At least our birthday's are somewhat close??? We'll celebrate Christie's again but without dad. But when we get together.....it's not a quick dinner :) So it was VERY dark and well into the night when we left to head home! BUT, we did make a trip to Harriman so we could see our new billboard at night! Which, by the way, looks AWESOME!!!

Finally Sunday arrives which happens to be the best of the 3 days!!!!! We slept in, lounged around some, and spent a lot of time outside! Again, it feels SOOOO good to be outside! We attempted to do a little bank fishing. I know, it's hard to believe that WE didn't take a boat out! It was a hard decision for us, really! Then we loaded up and went to the Roane County Park! It was nice to see everyone out and about. Sugar, our dog thinks she a giant attack dog though. She was even barking at a German Sheppard! It was cute though and EVERYONE wanted to play with her! Cara had a blast on the playground sets they have there and didn't want to leave! But we then went home and Teddy cooked us some GREAT, scallops, shrimp, and Flounder that we had picked up @ the Shrimp Dock! MMMMMmmmmm it was ALL so tastey and good! We then watched a movie and the Olympics.........aaahhhhhhhhh!!!!

What a wonderful weekend!

2010 Here we go....

Well, I obviously have not updated in a LONG time! But part of my resolution is to be better at keeping everyone updated! So to fill you in since the last blog...........long story short, we did a lot of GREAT traveling, had some great holidays, and BAM!!!! 2010 is here! We are VERy excited about this year and what it may bring! We are already up in our business, had some pretty snow, and are already hitting the gound running with work!

Work should run a little smoother this year since we hired 2 new guys to help us out! So We should get to spend more time with Cara and our Friends.

Right now the Boat Show is going on and we are VERY busy! It has been very cold and I keep looking at warm pics from our travels over the Fall/Winter so I thought I'd share a few!

Getting out of town!

After working a very hard, long, and greatful boating season.........we are finally going to enjoy "the fruits of labor"! We are headed to Jamaica and are looking forward to some fun in the sun and some down time. We are also VERY excited about our neice getting married while we are there! I know she can't wait and we are very proud of her! I hope she has a perfect day and week full of great memories! I'll post pics after we get back!

update.......

So, if you read my last blog you know we had a good season! We have still been steady at work, but not hectic! My life has been getting back to normal, somewhat, in that we are getting home at normal hours and we are getting to spend more time with Cara which is GREAT!!!!!

By the way........I'm signing Cara up for a tiny tot clogging class :) I think she will enjoy this! We'll know soon enough!

We are very excited about cooler weather coming! Looking forward to Fall, Football, Winter, and traveling. Teddy is counting down the days to college football starting, which is about a week now!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!! So, I know what are plans are next week :)

On another note......I am always curious as to where other people want to travel to! I have TONS of places I want to see but where do you all want to go? Just curious, so let me know!


We are headed to Jamaica in 35 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is a much needed vacation!

updates...

So I haven't blogged in a while and I'm finally getting a chance to do it! So here we go.........I Can't believe July is already half way over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It seems like the 4th was just last week!!!! In our business, July 4th is the peak so to say. It's why you work EXTREMELY hard from Memorail Day up to the 4th..... And as most of you know.....I've been telling everyone that I am "Happily tired". And I AM!!! I would much rather be tired than sitting here not selling anything and having to worry about not being here next year.

I'm not complaining.....but......Now that the 4th has come and gone, everything is starting to catch up with me and I really am tired! But still thankful! We are still busy which is GREAT especially since our time frame on making money in this industry is small and (typically) starts really slowing down after the 4th. So here's to a great year and a lot of hard work! YAY!!!!!! Hard work does pay off!!! So I am REALLY looking forward to the Fall and Winter for some travel and down time! Our first trip will be to Jamaica the first week in October for our niece's wedding! We have other things planned as well.....I'll blog about those later!
